New Year's Eve At Crowne Plaza Manila

1/2/17

2016 has been a challenging year for my family. We almost lost dad in April when he was hospitalized for two weeks. He got better as if he never got ill. We were planning to spend the New Year's Eve at the hotel and go on a vacation in summer.  But he unexpectedly left us in November. Pulmonary embolism took him away from us.

I was contemplating on abandoning the plans. I don't even expect to find any available rooms for the New Year's Eve. I then remember Front Office Manager Mr. Owen Alarcon's email message when I stayed at Crowne Plaza Manila last July 2016. He said I could contact him should I need to make arrangements or need assistance. It was already November 15. With high hopes, I sent him an email. Tough luck, he was on his annual vacation and was out of the country. On the bright side, Duty Manager Ms. Regina Sta. Cruz got in touch with me. She was the best thing that happened to my 2016.

We scored connecting rooms and my 14-month old nephew had the time of his life invading both rooms. We also had Club Lounge access and he enjoyed the perks the most.

Ms. Regina recommended that I avail the Club Lounge access and I was glad I listened to her. There was no traffic on the way to the hotel and we arrived way too early for check-in. We stayed at the Club Lounge and Choi definitely loved the muffin!

Tito Lenin it's holiday! Stop working!!
The Club Lounge has a relaxed atmosphere that both adults and children will feel comfortable hanging out or attending to urgent work demands.

The Crowne Plaza Club Lounge offers complimentary food and beverages. All-day refreshments are served from 630am to 10pm. Afternoon Tea is at 3pm to 5pm while Evening Cocktail is from 530pm to 8pm. If you wish to have breakfast at the lounge, the buffet is open from 630am to 1030am.

Other benefits of Crowne Plaza Club Lounge access are exclusive check in and check out, free use of the meeting room for 2 hours, internet access, free local calls and a dedicated room attendant.

Baby Choi waiting for the fireworks
We occupied rooms 1101 and 1102. They are located on the corner of the hotel facing Meralco compound, Corinthian Gardens and a view of the Greenhills area. Ms. Regina was accurate when she told me I'd be having the best view of the fireworks for New Year's Eve.

Baby Choi is still too young to remember this but he really had a wonderful experience watching the amazing fireworks display that night. We, the adults, were also amazed. There was one fireworks display that made me remember the one I saw at Hongkong Disneyland.

I only captured one photo of the fireworks display to document how perfect the New Year's Eve was. I simply enjoyed watching the rest until the clock struck midnight.

We woke up early for breakfast anticipating the rest of the guests will all arrive a bit late. Although we were a bit sleepy, a good morning note on the coffee mug made our morning extraordinary.

Thank you so much Crowne Plaza Manila for a memorable and blissful New Year's Eve. We are looking forward to more nights and fun memories spent at your hotel.
