Carnival Food Park Marikina

3/4/17

Carnival Food Park gives you a reason to visit Marikina. This carnival-themed food park has captured the taste buds of the  young and the young at heart since it opened last quarter of 2016.

Stepping inside the food park brought back childhood memories of school fair. I felt like a child again so excited to try what the food park has to offer.

I tried out 6 of the restaurants and I'm sharing with you what I feasted on.

Brewskie Pasta Hub

Brewskie Pasta Hub is obviously all about pasta. But the menu is not your ordinary pasta. Chef Oliver got a bit creative with his 19 kinds of pasta.

Wen Manong. Linguine pasta, authentic Ilocos longganisa and bagnet. PhP188

Kung Fu. Spaghetti pasta with oriental sauce, crispy chicken, peanuts and mushroom. PhP158

I liked both pasta. But if I were to choose one, I'd choose Kung Fu. It's on the sweet side. I'd probably request to make mine a bit spicy.

Sushirrito

Do you love sushi but find the size too bitin? Fret no more! Sushirrito brings you sushi as big as a burrito.

Beef Misono Sushirrito. PhP180

Chicken Karaage Sushirrito. PhP170

California Maki Sushirrito. PhP160

I love California Maki and I was the one who finished this sushirrito :)

Kuxina

Kuxina is all about home-cooked Filipino favorites. An interesting food in the menu is the Fried Sinigang.

Sisig Roll. Sisig stuffed lumpia wrapper with special garlic sauce. PhP80

Tapaleng. Special sweet chili beef tapa, egg and tomato, and fried rice. PhP135

Crispy Kare-Kare. Lechon Kawali with peanut sauce and bagoong. PhP155

The Sisig Roll is deadly delicious! It's an appetizer but I would pair it with rice. I'm somewhat curious with the Fried Sinigang.

Planet Sausage

Planet Sausage is for the sausage lovers. From pica-pica to sandwiches, they have a wide variety to choose from.

Zesty Saturn. Bacon-wrapped sausage. PhP100

Saturn in a Bun. Bacon-wrapped Hungarian sausage sandwich. PhP120

Pluto Platter. Hot Party Chickies, Zesty Saturn, Crispy Sisigdogs and Schizzles. PhP250

Saturn in a Bun is kinda messy to eat but this is what I'd order at Planet Sausage when I return to Carnival Food Park.

Hip On

If you love seafood, Hip On has the freshest catch of the sea to satisfy your appetite.

Calamares. Deep-fried coated squid. PhP150

Baked Mussels. Fresh mussels from Palawan baked and topped with cheese and garlic. PhP180

Seafood Platter. A combination of mussels, shrimp, and crab with your choice of flavors. Cajun Spice is a mix of herbs and butter sauce, CocoPurry is coconut milk and curry spice sauce, Salted Eggztreme is cream based salted egg sauce, Butter N Garlic, Sugar N Spice is a mix of sweet and spicy sauce, and Peppa's Oil is stir-fried Vigan Longganisa over oil.  PhP450

The crabs and shrimps are sourced out from Bicol. According to the owner, the eggztreme recipe was developed by his mom, Ma. Pacencia Dancel. I like that it's not salty. Just perfect.

I liked the seafood platter  Eggztreme so much (I don't eat shrimp though). I ordered for takeout the Butter N Garlic as pasalubong for my hubby and my sisters.

Of course, I saved the best for last. Make sure your belly still has space for dessert.

Havey Desserts

Havey Desserts is owned by Carl and Angel Bautista. Angel started baking in 2012 when she gave birth to their first child. She creates customized cakes.

Yemahhh Cupcake. Moist chocolate cupcake topped with yema. PhP60

Nutella-la Cupcake. Moist chocolate cupcake with nutella frosting topped with Ferrero. PhP80

Nutella-stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Cup with Vanilla Ice Cream. This is my personal favorite! PhP110

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie ala mode. 7"cookie big enough for sharing. PhP180

These are just six of the 26 stalls you can find at Carnival Food Park in Marikina. Planning to visit soon? It is located along Gil Fernando Avenue near Marcos Highway side.
