Vampire Penguin Brings Snow in Manila

3/30/17

Can you already feel the summer heat? The season has just started and will definitely get hotter in April. Here's a delicious way to beat the heat! California's famous dessert is now in Manila. Vampire Penguin Manila serves shaved ice that are not just yummy but also pleasing to the eyes.

I was invited by Zomato PH to taste some of Vampire Penguin's bestsellers and it was one of the best dessert indulgence I had this year.

The Halo-Halo Snow is the Pinoy's favorite dessert and Vampire Penguin's version did not disappoint. It has taro snow, munggo beans, macapuno, taro paste, jackfruit, condensed milk, and a touch of flan

VP is made of green tea shaved snow with strawberries, sliced almonds, and drizzles of condensed milk. A great treat for green tea lovers.

The Penguinipig is  vanilla snow, rice crispies, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and sliced saba. According to Leo, the owner, this is still a work in progress. We suggested he try the local pinipig to give this a Pinoy twist.

The Mango Ong is one of the entries in the "secret menu" but since I posted it here already I guess it's no longer a secret. Mango snow, green mango and bagoong in your dessert! Interesting.

Who loves milk tea? Snow Tiger is made up of Thai tea and milk tea flavored shaved ice, topped with crushed Oreos and condensed milk.

My favorite is the Black ForestStrawberry and chocolate snow, chocolate chips, almonds, cherries, chocolate syrup, and strawberry syrup.... yummmmmmmy!

Vampire Penguin Manila also serves Puffs and it comes in 3 variants: original, cinnamon sugar, and red velvet. For maximum indulgence, you can have your puff topped with your favorite snow.

Vampire Penguin Manila is located on the cinema level of Ayala Malls The 30th, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City. It is open from 9am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
