5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Bonifacio Global City for the Holidays

12/3/17

I consider Bonifacio Global City my second home. I have spent countless staycations here and most of the events I attended are held here. Aside from the shopping and dining options, what I love about BGC is that I can jog at 10 in the evening and feel safe. I'm giving you 5 more reasons why you should visit Bonifacio Global City for the holidays.

1. Every corner is a perfect backdrop for selfies and group photos

Experience a different kind of Christmas at Bonifacio Global City's crystal universe-inspired lights and sounds ensemble to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

The lights have never shone as bright as the Bonifacio High Street gets covered in a blanket of over a million tiny colorful bulbs with the most festive of Christmas carols filling the atmosphere with the magic of the season.

Designed by award-winning designer Voltaire De Jesus, the lights dance in perfect synchronicity with Christmas tunes especially orchestrated by acclaimed musician-composers Von De Guzman, Roy Del Valle, and Tris Sunguitan.

Right at the heart of Bonifacio High Street is the biggest, brightest present you will see this season. Enter the gift box and be surrounded by what could very well be crystals shining bright like diamonds. The show-stopping spectacle runs every 30 minutes from 6-10 pm until January 7, 2018.

Beyond Bonifacio High Street, all major streets and avenues of BGC are adorned with crystal balls of white light that faintly resemble snow balls, turning the city into a winter wonderland when the night falls. Almost every corner is a perfect backdrop for selfies and group photos come reunion time.

2. Christmas shopping extravaganza

A Christmas shopping extravaganza awaits at the 18 Days of Christmas Bazaar by Karl Edward International happening at Three Parkade, Fridays to Sundays, from November 24 to December 23, 2017 and the Toy & Gift Fair at Bonifacio High Street on December 2 and 3. Expect to find various stocking stuffers, unique gifts, and trinkets for everyone on your Christmas list. Participating brands include Disney, Lego, and Zalora, to name a few.

You can also be one of the five winners of P100,000 shopping spree with BGC Shopathon by Mastercard. A minimum spend of P3,000 (single or accumulated receipts) when you shop or dine with any debit, credit, or prepaid Mastercard from December 1, 2017 to January 15, 2018 from any Bonifacio High Street, Central Square, One Parkade, Two Parkade, Bonifacio Stopover, Park Triangle, Crossroads, or The Fort establishments entitles you to a raffle coupon.

The Company serenaded the guests during the BGC Lights and Sounds launched last November 29, 2017

3. Watch a world-class musical

Create new traditions and catch a world-class musical: A Christmas Carol by Globe Live & 9Works Theatrical all weekends starting December 7, 2017 at the Globe Iconic Store, Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater.

4. Simbang Gabi

Give more meaning to the season with the anticipated simbang gabi, a nine-day novena mass celebrated at the Bonifacio High Street amphitheater from December 15-23, 2017 at 6 pm.

5. New Year's Party

BGC will be having it's first ever New Year's Party. In partnership with the City of Taguig, braced yourself for an epic welcome to 2018! Happening in Bonifacio High Street, widely regarded as the city's pulse, revelries start at 6 pm on December 31. Expect performances from Gary Valenciano and enjoy a night of music, fun, food, and fireworks.

Start making plans and enjoy the activities BGC has prepared for you.

Co-presented by Mastercard, Huawei, and Security Bank, the holiday festivities are part of BGC's "Season of Passions" celebration, a series of epic events to cap off the year. For the complete schedule of activities and updates, follow Bonifacio Global City and Bonifacio High Street on facebook.
