Le Chef at the Manor

I loved my vacation at The Manor in Camp John Hay, Baguio. I really planned trying out different restaurants and stay away from hotel food. It would be cheaper had I eaten my breakfast or lunch elsewhere but because of the cold weather, rain and my lazy mood, we ended up having breakfast at Le Chef and with my laziness taking another level, we had our lunch in the room.

Le Chef is open daily from 6 in the morning until 11 in the evening.

The breakfast is not included in the room rate. If I remember it right, we paid P550 each ($13) for the buffet breakfast at Le Chef. I try not to dwell too much on the cost of the food. After all, we should enjoy vacation and everything the comes with it. As long as the price justifies the value, I'm fine with it. (note: husband is paying, not me.)

There's a wide array of choices at the buffet table. I feasted on fried rice, corned beef, vigan longganisa, omelette and lots of salad!

I must have the crisp fresh goodness of Baguio greens.

My husband enjoying his fried rice and Bistek Tagalog.

The breads at the buffet station are freshly baked too. I think the breads are from the Le Chef Delicatessen. We did not try the bread though because rice appeals to us than bread. We then had fresh fruits for dessert. Too bad, no strawberries served.

I want to make the most of the view from the bedroom so I decided to have room service for lunch (read: I'm too lazy to get out of the room).

I only requested for water because I always love getting food and drinks from the mini bar :)

Three Years After...

 .... flowers!

I did not even expect this plant to live because I just cut the stem off from one of the plants surrounding the villa I rented where we stayed overnight last February 2009.

I know what I did is a crime. I remember waiting late in the night so that no one will catch me. And I keep thinking the reason for so many years it never produced flowers was because... I stole the stem.

So does the flowers mean I'm already forgiven?
