I never thought I'll apply for a membership at Video City. I'm not so much into watching movies. But a few weeks ago while I was waiting at my doctor's clinic, the secretary told us that my doctor is still in the operating room and then afterwards needed at the emergency room. She suggested that we watch a movie while waiting. The movie she played is "Now You See Me". Another patient told me that the movie is really good. I decided that I'll instead watch it at home. I downloaded a copy from the internet but the sound quality is very poor. Then I remember there's a Video City nearby.

After filling out the membership form, I asked the receptionist if the movie "Now You See Me" is available. Unlucky me, it's rented out. Good news though, it's due to be returned in the afternoon. The receptionist told me he'll reserve it for me. Around 6pm, he texted me that the dvd is available for pick-up. I also rented Fast and Furious 6, Seconds Apart and my favorite Filipino movie I Do Bidoo Bidoo.

Now I'm excited to have a regular movie marathon. There are some Filipino movies that I've been wanting to watch -- the 2007 film One More Chance starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo (am I the only Pinay who have not seen this?!) and 2011 romantic drama No Other Woman starring Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes (I've actually watched half of this movie on Viva Channel).
