I believe that getting lost in an unfamiliar place happens for a reason. I frequent San Juan because of Cardinal Santos Medical Center but I never got to explore Wilson Street. One weekend, me and hubby decided to travel from Antipolo to San Juan to drive around. We got lost somewhere in P. Guevarra and passed by the gate of Chef Laudico's Guevarra's. I thought back then this is just an events place. I was not even able to take a peek of what's inside. Last month, I received an invite to attend the launch of Guevarra's Yuletide Feast Menu and memories of that fateful day flashed back. It felt like being invited to a family's private gathering.
Entering the driveway is like visiting my grandparents' house. I was so excited getting off the car and imagined them eagerly waiting for me as I climb the stairs. Oh, the smell of a feast waiting to be devoured as I enter the door. I was brought back to reality when the receptionist warmly welcomed me.
The house was built in the 1920's. The staircase leads to the veranda and gives you a great view of the garden.
It already feels like Christmas at Guevarra's. You'll see red, green and silver decors and life-sized Santas.
There is also a giant Christmas Tree. I didn't get a chance though to see if it's lighted at night.

The Yuletide Feast Menu is available starting October 15, 2016. In the spirit of Christmas, Guevarra's is also giving a portion of the proceeds for each buffet head to the Children's Joy Foundation.
The Children's Joy Foundation is a center that houses disadvantaged children in the country. It seeks to assist marginalized children to enjoy life to the fullest in a protective and caring environment. Guevarra's has been supporting this foundation in the past four years.

Maagang Salu-Salo is from 5pm to 630pm
