Whenever I don't feel like leaving the house, I always wished for The SM Store to have its very own online shopping platform. It can save me a lot of time and I can do shopping even when I'm stuck in traffic. The shopping fairy godmother must have heard my fervent prayer. The largest department store chain in the Philippines has launched a new way to make everyday shopping feel super with ShopSM.
As Filipinos become busier and more mobile, they’re always looking for better ways to shop. My ShopSM experience
The ShopSM online shopping platform is not yet app-based. I tried accessing it on my laptop via Firefox and on my iPad using Chrome. The page loaded quickly and the site is easy to navigate. It carries my favorite items from every department – home basics, kids and baby
essentials, beauty products, shoes, bags, and a variety of clothing for men, women, and
children.
Delivery options are Pick Up at The SM Store (only selected branches are available for pick up) and Ship to Address. I wanted to try the Pick Up option but the nearest SM branch available is SM Marikina which is a bit far from me and the ongoing Marcos Highway bridge rehabilitation makes it inconvenient for me. Currently, ShopSM offers FREE shipping for a minimum spend of P500 so I chose the Ship to Address.
The platform also lets you use
your SM Advantage, SM Prestige card, or BDO rewards card to earn points, apart from regular discounts. A
range of payment options are also available, including cash on delivery, credit payments,
and debit payments.
The products I bought are from the department store, ACE Hardware, and Watsons. I had peace of mind that the products I'll be receiving are authentic. Also, the online receipt serves as my document for warranty claim.
I love that I receive notifications for order tracking. The package was indeed shipped within 24 hours and my order arrived on day 3. It was well-packaged and even the box and packaging of the items were in good condition (I'm kinda OC with packaging!)
