Wild West Roadhouse Grill

My husband stayed for 9 months in Austin, Texas in 1997 and  he told me about a certain restaurant where they were encouraged to throw the peanut peel on the floor. The restaurant is Texas Roadhouse Grill. When he saw Wild West Roadhouse Grill in Shangri-la Plaza, he told me that this could be the franchise of the Austin restaurant. And so we decided to have lunch here.

After our server Ivy took our order, the waiter brought us a bowl of roasted peanuts.

The expression on my husband's face is like -- I wanna throw the peanut peel on the ground like the way I did in Austin!! haha!!

They actually provided a small aluminum bucket for the peel!

I started my meal with a cup of Clam Chowder. Better than the cup I had a week ago from another restaurant. This costs P130 ($2.95)

We just had Hickory barbecue ribs the night before so ribs in the menu didn't appeal to us.

My husband ordered Outlaw's Tuna Belly. This is a choice cut of tuna belly steak marinated in oriental teriyaki sauce and then grilled to perfection. This is served with Wild West rice and veggies. An order costs P440 ($10).

I ordered Wrangler's Pork Steak. This plate includes two grilled pork steak topped with melted Swiss cheese and drizzled with au jus.  This is also served with Wild West rice and veggies. An order costs P420 ($9.55) I didn't like this at first because the meat is not tender and a bit dry. I had a hard time cutting the meat. I requested for a hot sauce and worcestershire sauce, smothered them and enjoyed my food! Haha!!

The desserts menu is on the table and inasmuch as I want to try the Apple Crumble, I have to say no. My stomach has no more space for dessert hehe!!

Next time, perhaps.
