The MSMEs were the first to suffer from the impact of the pandemic. Eight months have swiftly passed by but the business owners are still finding ways to reach more people to market their products in the new normal. The Department of Trade and Industry Rizal Provincial Office extends help by collaborating with Rizal's industry associations such as Samahan ng mg Rizaleño sa Sektor ng Agrikultura at Pagkain (SARAP) and Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association Inc. (REMAI) to showcase products of Rizal. SM City Masinag serves as the venue partner.
Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares graced the opening ceremony of the Pamaskong Handog ng Tindahang Rizalenyo held last November 27, 2020. Asst. Secretary Demphna Du-Naga of the DTI Regional Operations Group joined Mayor Ynares during the ribbon cutting.
The implementation of the One Town One Product Next Generation (OTOP NG) and Bamboo Product Development Project under the Industry Cluster Enhancement (ICE) Program had developed new products and prototypes with potential market opportunities. These flagship programs of the DTI enable the MSMEs and communities to support and promote products that are rooted in its local culture, community resources, creativity, connection, and competitive advantage.
DTI Provincial Director Mercedes Parreno reiterates DTI's support to fully develop a marketing platform for Rizal MSMEs to explore the potential of new and bigger market. This marketing activity will provide Rizal MSMEs viable options to improve their business and encourage them to reach out to new markets with the support of SM City Masinag, SARAP, and REMAI. Parreno also mentioned that new products and fresh packaging will be showcased under OTOP and ICE Programs.
