Beko, a leading European appliance brand, continues to champion community engagement by proudly sponsoring the 9th Himig ng Kabataan, Alay Kay Don Bosco Choral Competition 2024. This prestigious event, one of the longest-running church-based choral competitions in the Philippines, showcases the exceptional talent and dedication of choir groups from various provinces, captivating audiences nationwide.
Aligned with the 43rd anniversary of St. John Bosco Parish Church Makati, the competition also serves as a platform to honor the life and teachings of St. John Bosco. Beko’s involvement as a co-presenter reflects its ongoing commitment to uplifting communities, not only by enhancing comfort and convenience in Filipino homes but also by supporting meaningful causes.
As part of their sponsorship, Beko generously provided cash prizes for the competition’s top performers. They also engaged the audience with a live demonstration of their espresso machine and coffee maker at their interactive booth, serving over 1,000 cups of coffee and distributing informative flyers about their wide range of home solutions.
The Gloria Patri Singers emerged as the Grand Champion, taking home a cash prize of Php 100,000 and the Best Song Rendition award. The Inmaculada Concepcion de Malolos Chamber Singers secured second place with a cash prize of Php 50,000, while The Vennekreds came in third, earning Php 30,000. Additionally, the Dominic Savio Youth Choir was honored with the People's Choice Award.
