Filipino Runners Unite for a Nationwide Celebration of Strength and Endurance

The PUMA Philippines Half Marathon Series 2025 is officially off and running — and it’s already making waves across the country! The Manila leg, held at the scenic SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City, marked an exciting start to this six-stage nationwide race organized in collaboration with RUNRIO.

From Luzon to Visayas to Mindanao, PUMA’s Half Marathon Series celebrates the spirit of athleticism, community, and determination among Filipino runners. The event’s 21K category has already sold out across all cities, while 10K and 5K slots are filling up fast — proof that the running fever in the Philippines is stronger than ever.

Choose Your Distance, Earn Your Rewards

Runners can pick from 5K, 10K, or 21K categories, each with exclusive PUMA race merchandise to mark their achievement. Every finisher receives a medal, sleek singlet, personalized bib, and a loot bag packed with goodies — while 21K finishers also get a special finisher’s T-shirt to celebrate their hard-earned victory.

But that’s not all. The most dedicated participants can take on the All-City Legacy Challenge, completing all six races to earn the coveted All-City Legacy Medal — a symbol of consistency, endurance, and pride for every runner who conquers the series.

PUMA Athletes Set the Pace in Manila

The Manila leg featured an inspiring lineup of PUMA-signed athletes who showed what it means to run with passion and purpose.

Leading the charge was Christine Hallasgo, 2019 SEA Games gold medalist, who finished the 10K race with a standout time of 38:32. Reflecting on the experience, she shared:

“Each location brings different routes and climates, so it takes time to adjust. But what’s rewarding is getting to explore new places, experience different cultures, and connect with fellow runners from across the country.”

She also expressed gratitude to PUMA for supporting Filipino athletes and inspiring the next generation to pursue their dreams.

Joining her were Junel Gobotia, who dominated the 5K race at 17:21, and Jonna Abutas, who delivered a solid 42:54 finish in the 10K category. Both athletes are gearing up for the 2025 SEA Games, while Abutas is also set to compete in the Grand Finale at Clark this December.
