SM City Taytay has officially welcomed the holiday season with the launch of “Taylor’s Warm and Wooly Christmas,” a festive centerpiece that brings the comfort of home to the mall’s Christmas celebrations.
Designed around the feeling of a cozy holiday gathering, the display features a decorative fireplace, glowing lights, sleeping cat figures, and a towering Christmas tree adorned with festive ornaments. At the center of the scene, Taylor, the mall’s official character, sits beside an oversized mug of hot cocoa, completing a picture of a relaxed Christmas evening.
The centerpiece offers shoppers a festive spot to pause, take photos, and enjoy the familiar sights of the season. Its warm colors and home-inspired details also give the mall atrium a welcoming atmosphere as families and friends begin their holiday visits.
A Cozy Christmas Scene at SM City Taytay
Unlike displays built around grandeur alone, Taylor’s Warm and Wooly Christmas draws its charm from the small details associated with spending the holidays at home. The fireplace, holiday stockings, and softly illuminated decorations evoke the simple pleasures of gathering with loved ones during the Christmas season.
The sleeping cats add a playful touch to the arrangement, while the giant cup of hot cocoa beside Taylor reinforces the theme of warmth and comfort. Above and around the display, Christmas lights sparkle across the mall atrium, bringing the entire scene together.
For mall visitors, the centerpiece provides an opportunity to capture holiday photos while enjoying the festive surroundings. Families can use the display as a meeting point during their shopping trips, while friends can make it part of their seasonal photo stops.
Mayor, Santa, and Special Guests Join the Celebration
The launch also featured the appearance of Taytay City Mayor Allan de Leon, adding a community presence to the mall’s holiday festivities.
The official mascot Taylor was part of the celebration, bringing the centerpiece’s central character to life for visitors.
Santa Claus also joined the event, adding a familiar figure to the Christmas gathering. His appearance helped bring the holiday theme to life, particularly for children looking forward to the traditions and surprises associated with the season.
A ballet performance added a touch of artistry to the program, bringing movement and festive entertainment to the unveiling. The appearance of the Besties of Joy further contributed to the celebration, giving guests more personalities and holiday moments to enjoy.
Together, these appearances made the launch more than a presentation of Christmas decorations. The event brought visual displays, live entertainment, and familiar holiday characters into one gathering, creating different ways for visitors to take part in the festivities.
A Holiday Destination for Families and Friends
Christmas decorations have become a familiar part of the Filipino holiday experience, with malls serving as gathering places for shopping, dining, entertainment, and seasonal celebrations. For many families, visiting a Christmas display is also a way to create traditions, from taking annual family portraits to capturing photos with children and beloved holiday characters.
At SM City Taytay, Taylor’s Warm and Wooly Christmas offers a setting that leans into these everyday moments. Its home-inspired design gives visitors a different way to enjoy the season, focusing on the comfort of familiar holiday symbols rather than elaborate decorations alone.
The combination of a Christmas tree, fireplace, hot cocoa, and playful cat figures creates several details that visitors can appreciate up close. Meanwhile, the appearances of Santa and Taylor, together with the ballet presentation and Besties of Joy, add entertainment to the experience.
For those planning a holiday visit, the centerpiece can be a starting point for a family mall trip. Visitors can take photos, enjoy the decorations, and spend time together while exploring other activities and shopping options available at the mall.
