Christmastime in the Philippines is never complete without a long-awaited reunion. Whether it’s your barkada, office family, or relatives you only see once a year, these gatherings are the heart of our holiday traditions. But for many Filipinos, busy schedules, distance, and budget constraints make it hard to bring everyone together.
This year, McDonald’s Philippines is stepping in to help bridge that gap. Through its “Grand Reunion at McDo” initiative, the fast-food giant is opening select Party Rooms nationwide to host free reunions, giving deserving groups a chance to finally reconnect and celebrate the season together.
A Holiday Initiative That Celebrates Filipino Togetherness
Happening simultaneously across the country, the Grand Reunion at McDo transforms chosen McDonald’s Party Rooms into festive spaces for meaningful gatherings. It’s McDonald’s way of honoring the true spirit of the season—pagsasama-sama and pagsasalo-salo.
As McDonald’s Philippines Chief Marketing Officer Ada Lazaro explains, the project taps into core Filipino values. She shared that by creating these spaces, McDonald’s offers a reminder that those who bring joy to others also deserve moments of celebration and gratitude.
How to Join McDonald’s Grand Reunion
Want your group to be part of this nationwide celebration? Here’s how:
- Visit McDonald’s Philippines’ Facebook Page.
- Look for the Grand Reunion post and share your story.
- Why does your group want to reunite?
- What kept you apart?
- Why is your bond worth celebrating?
The selected reunions will happen on December 8, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Each participating Party Room will host two groups, with up to 10 people per group—a total of 20 happy guests. You may also choose your preferred McDonald’s branch.
Stories will be chosen based on how well they express the spirit of togetherness and holiday warmth.
A Special Meal for a Special Gathering
Aside from a cozy Party Room, each group will be treated to boxes of Honey Butter Chicken McDo, paired with a fun “shake, tear, and sprinkle” moment using Garlic Parmesan and Snow Cheese Powder—a simple ritual that makes every shared meal feel more special.
A McDonald’s Happiness Host will also be present to guide games, toasts, and light activities, making the reunion even more memorable.
Reinforcing Pinoy Holiday Values
Lazaro emphasized that McDonald’s wanted to offer a warm, uncomplicated way for people to gather—especially during a season filled with packed schedules, tight budgets, and emotional demands.
“Grand Reunion at McDo offers a refreshing alternative,” she explained, “a simple yet meaningful celebration that doesn’t require elaborate preparations.”
If you’ve been longing to reconnect with people who matter to you, this is your chance. McDonald’s Grand Reunion isn’t just a free event—it’s a heartfelt reminder that the best part of the holidays is being together. Share your story, gather your group, and let McDonald’s bring your reunion to life.
