The Magic V6 takes a different approach to the foldable-phone category. Rather than simply adding a second screen, HONOR has focused on making the device thinner, lighter and more practical for everyday use while retaining a large display, high-capacity battery and flagship-level hardware. HONOR's global specifications list the phone at 8.75mm when folded and about 219 grams in the White version.
What makes the HONOR Magic V6 different?
For consumers who have been curious about foldable phones but remain concerned about bulk, battery life or durability, the Magic V6 addresses those three areas directly.
When folded, the phone measures 8.75mm thick. When opened, the White version measures 4.0mm, according to HONOR's laboratory measurements. The device weighs approximately 219 grams in that configuration.
The result is a book-style foldable that can function like a conventional smartphone when closed, then expand into a larger workspace when opened.
How durable is the HONOR Magic V6?
The Magic V6 uses HONOR's Super Steel Hinge, which has a stated tensile strength of 2,800 MPa. HONOR says the hinge has also been tested for up to 500,000 folds.
The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings under IEC 60529 testing standards. These ratings indicate resistance to dust and water under specified laboratory conditions, although they do not make the device permanently waterproof. HONOR specifically notes that resistance can decline with normal wear and tear.

The phone supports 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging, as well as wireless reverse charging.
Silicon-carbon battery technology is increasingly being used in smartphones because it can allow manufacturers to increase energy capacity without proportionally increasing the physical size of the battery. For users, that matters because foldables have to accommodate two displays and a hinge while keeping the overall device reasonably slim.
Flagship hardware meets AI features
The Magic V6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage.
The phone runs MagicOS 10, with HONOR's AI features integrated into areas such as settings, photos, recommendations and screen-based suggestions.
The device also incorporates Google Gemini, allowing users to interact through text, voice and images. Gemini Live can use the camera or screen during conversations, while connected apps can be used for tasks such as managing schedules and to-do lists.
HONOR is also offering a three-month trial of Google AI Pro with the Magic V6, which includes access to additional Gemini features and other Google AI tools, subject to the applicable terms and availability.
What about the cameras?
The Magic V6 has a triple rear-camera system comprising a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide camera and 64MP periscope telephoto camera.
The telephoto camera uses a 1/2-inch sensor and supports CIPA-rated 6.5-stop image stabilization, according to HONOR.
HONOR also incorporates AI-based imaging features designed to assist with color processing, video and portrait-related photography.
For everyday users, the more practical benefit is versatility. A main camera handles everyday shots, the ultrawide camera is useful for landscapes and group photos, while the periscope telephoto lens provides greater reach for distant subjects.
Can the Magic V6 work with Apple devices?
One particularly interesting feature is HONOR's effort to make the Magic V6 useful even for people who own Apple hardware.
HONOR says the Magic V6 can connect with devices such as the iPhone, Mac, AirPods and Apple Watch through HONOR Share and related ecosystem features.
The company also says Quick Share can facilitate file transfers between Android and compatible Apple devices.
