This is my first ever Sony smartphone. I have been looking for a smartphone with good quality camera and my search brought me to Sony Xperia.
What made me decide to choose Sony Xperia Z1?
Although the latest Sony Xperia Z3 is already in the market, I'm a bit budget conscious (read: I don't have money) and I put into consideration what I wanted in the first place.
A 20.7 MP Camera.
I'm taking a lot of pictures for my website and I want a gadget that allows me to instantly edit and share photos on the go.
The Xperia Z1 is built with the very same components as Sony’s compact digital cameras, meaning it’s a great smartphone for capturing images. It combines a large 1/2.3″, 20.7 MP Exmor RS™ for mobile image sensor, Sony’s award-winning G Lens and intelligent BIONZ™ for mobile image-processing engine. And when using Superior Auto you’ll always get stunning results, because it chooses the best camera settings for you. http://www.sonymobile.com/
Durability.
I'm very particular with the phone's durability. Two months ago, my smartphone accidentally fell on the pool and though it was out of the water in less than a minute when I tried to turn it on, all I got was a black screen.
The Sony Xperia Z1 has an impressive IP55/IP58 rating, which makes this slim and sleek smartphone both waterproof(1) and resistant to the tiniest dust particles.
