One of Antipolo's hidden gastronomic treasure that I love visiting is Tipulo. Located within the facility of the First Pacific Learning Academy is a restaurant that offers modern Filipino cuisine.
We had an impromptu family lunch one Sunday and I brought them here to try the boneless crispy pata. Sadly it was not available when we dined.
Here's what we feasted on..
Bagoong Rice, P165
The Bagoong Rice is good for 2-3 persons. I love Bagoong Rice and I'm somewhat disappointed with their version. Not a hint of bagoong from this one.
Crispy Hito with Green Mango Salad, P320
Deep fried catfish served with a tangy green mango salad and cilantro
The Crispy Hito made me forget my disappointment with the Bagoong Rice. I'll keep coming back to Tipulo for the Crispy Hito.
Pork Sisig, P230
Grilled pork meat with liver and spices served in a sizzling plate
The Pork Sisig was cooked the traditional way which makes this dish very yummy. It's so tasty you'll probably request an extra order of rice :)
Bangus Belly Steak, P245
Tender cut of milkfish glazed with soy reduction and sauteed sweet onions
Bangus Belly. My Favorite piece. Check.
Crispy fried. Check.
Fusion of sweet and salty sauce. Check.
Burplicious. Check. Check. Check.
Inihaw na Liempo, P235
Flame-grilled pork belly served with papaya achara and spicy vinegar sauce
Perfectly grilled. Another excuse for an extra serving of rice :D
There's so much more on the menu that we wanted to try. I wasn't able to take a snapshot of the Sinigang na Salmon Belly sa Miso.
Here's a complete menu of Tipulo Modern Filipino Cuisine. But don't just stare at it. Visit them soon!
