PLDT Home Fiber, the broadband powerhouse from leading telco and digital services provider PLDT, is reaching even more Filipino households. With its network now passing over 2.5 million homes—from Ilocos Norte in the north to South Cotabato in the south—PLDT continues to hold the widest fiber coverage in the country.
The Widest Fiber Network in the Philippines
Thanks to its aggressive rollout program, PLDT has built more than 140,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables, the most extensive fiber infrastructure nationwide. This massive expansion ensures that families across the country can experience seamless, high-speed, and lag-free internet—a necessity for work, school, and entertainment.
“As the demand for high-speed connectivity escalates, we are stepping up our efforts to make our most advanced broadband service accessible to more homes in the country,” said PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan.
From Laoag, Baguio, and Tuguegarao in the north, to Pampanga and Palawan in Luzon, down to Naga, Legazpi, Cebu, Iloilo, Tacloban, and even Zamboanga and General Santos in Mindanao—PLDT’s network now stretches across the Philippines, making world-class internet accessible to millions of Filipinos.
More Affordable Fiber Plans
To make connectivity more inclusive, PLDT has introduced Plan 1899, which offers speeds of up to 50 Mbps. For households needing even faster connections, PLDT Home Fibr delivers internet speeds of up to 1 Gbps—the fastest in the country—along with the first symmetrical speed service that provides equal upload and download speeds.
This innovation allows families to browse, stream, and work online without interruptions while enjoying content from global partners such as Netflix, Fox Networks Group, iflix, Roku, and iWant TV. PLDT Home also enhances family safety with FamCam, a home monitoring device, and FamZone, which helps parents keep children safe online.
Billions Invested in Stronger Connections
Over the past decade, PLDT has invested ₱300 billion ($6 billion) to build the country’s most extensive network. For 2016 alone, the company earmarked ₱48 billion ($1 billion) for capital expenditures, with a significant portion going to fiber infrastructure.
“With Fibr’s unmatched broadband performance and compelling content offerings, the digitally connected Smart Home is even more powerful than ever—proving that the strongest connections are in our fiber,” Pangilinan added.
