Sun Life Digital Shorts Highlight Relationships That Makes Lives #BrighterTogether

6/8/17

In 2012, Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. released its first collection of digital short films and it was a successful take on promoting insurance and investment products. This June, the company has once again released a new set of Sun Shorts and the press preview coincided with the celebration of the insurance company's Financial Independence Month. Now on its 4th year, Sun Life's advocacy in helping the Filipinos achieve financial freedom continues with a series of activities throughout the month of June.

The first short film in the collection is "Waves". Directed by Zig Marasigan, the story is about a surfing instructor who lives a carefree life before he met a girl who lives in the city and was on vacation. A lot of millennials who have a YOLO mindset will definitely relate to the story. The film was released on June 7 at www.sunshorts2.com and was also uploaded on Sun Life's facebook page.

"She Said, She Said" is about a young, single mom's journey and her struggles in raising her daughter while striving to achiever her own dreams. This film directed by Nic Reyes will premiere on June 14.

"Sayaw" by Mihk Vergara is a story of an old couple whose marriage has gotten cold. Can love really stand the test of time? The third installment of Sun Shorts will premiere on June 21.

Also present during the Sun Shorts launch at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-la Hotel are Sun Life Ambassadors Matteo Guidicelli, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, Piolo Pascual and Charo Santos-Concio. They shared they thoughts about the stories in the short films and how insurance and investments can enable us to protect the relationships that matter to us.

For the month of June, activities include workshop on achieving travel goals for millennials, while moms and dads will be treated to a pampering session. Details about these activities are available on @sunlifePH's social media accounts.

Financial planning courses are available for those who prefer to learn how to become financially independent at Brighter Life Institute

Me and my fellow blogger friend Cie Cisneros of Adventures of a Diva Princess have a Sun Life Personal Accident Insurance. It is very important for us because we go to different places attending events. If you are interested in making sure you are protected wherever you go, Sun Life will launch PA Armor. It is an affordable personal accident protection for Filipino online shoppers. Through Sun Life's partnership with Voyager Innovations, Inc., members of the online marketplace Takatack.com will exclusively enjoy the benefits of its protection.
