Ms. Billie Adelman, a 20-year Citigroup veteran, has been appointed Executive Director by In Touch Community Services, a non- profit organization and leading provider of mental health services in the Philippines.
“Billie’s corporate career with international organizations such as IBM and Citibank, has enabled her to develop a diverse set of culturally adaptive leadership skills and functional knowledge, such as finance, marketing and IT,” said In Touch Chairperson
Camilla Brooks. “Her appointment as Executive Director is timely and strategic as In Touch, supports the goal of mental wellness for all in alignment with the Philippines Mental Health Act, and continues to seek ways to support those in need with timely, affordable, high-quality, and culturally appropriate mental health care.”
In Touch has been serving the community since 1980 with its Crisis Line, direct counseling, workshops and Employee Well-being Programs, with the primary mission of enabling individuals to have healthy coping mechanisms and realize their potential. Ms. Adelman’s partnership with In Touch started in 2002 as a Crisis Line volunteer and in recent years, she supported the transformation of the organization and joined the Board of Directors, ultimately taking on the responsibility as Treasurer. Additionally, her values and volunteerism have been evidenced by her participation in community-based activities with several charities such as Operation Smile, UNICEF and Habitat for Humanity.
