Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) began the year with a milestone collaboration, signing a partnership with ASC Global Recruitment (ASCGR), an agency specializing in overseas placements for skilled Filipino workers.
The alliance paves the way for Filipino nurses to kickstart international careers while receiving world-class training at one of the Philippines’ top private tertiary hospitals. For CSMC, the initiative reflects its vision of developing globally competitive nursing professionals whose journeys begin within its institution.
A Career Pathway to the U.K.
“Recognizing the aspiration of Filipino nurses to work overseas, we are collaborating with ASC Global Recruitment to link nurses to U.K. employers through safe, secure, and quality placements,” said Raul Pagdanganan, CSMC President and CEO.
He added that CSMC, as a training institution, will provide nurses with the employer-prescribed training, with the long-term goal of evolving the initiative into a career laddering program for its nursing staff.

The contract signing was led by:
Cardinal Santos Medical Center: Raul Pagdanganan (President and CEO), Leona Paula Macalintal (Nursing Director), and Maria Louzel Diaz-Tiozon (Vice President and Head of Human Resources)

Supporting Nurses’ Calling
“For nurses, this profession is more than a job—it is a calling,” Pagdanganan emphasized. “Cardinal Santos Medical Center is committed to helping them build a strong foundation for their careers and become a conduit for realizing their dreams by providing world-class training.”
Through this partnership, CSMC reinforces its role not just as a premier healthcare provider, but also as an incubator of nursing talent that can thrive on the global stage.
