SM City Masinag unveils food court with a new look

7/22/21

Have you been to SM City Masinag lately? If you love the variation of dishes when dining, you are probably like me who frequents the food court. A lot of improvements happened at SM City Masinag while we were locked down. Safe malling and safe dining are in place. And the food court transferred to a new location on the 2nd level. The ambience has a warm and relaxed feel with a very instagrammable aesthetics. Here are some of the food I'm sure you definitely miss eating:

Takoya Kiks

Craving for a Japanese treat that is just right for the budget? Takoya Kiks has the best takoyaki in town! You can either choose from the takoyaki that made them famous or go extra with baby octopus for a more authentic taste.

Garnished with veggies, octopus bits, and topped with bonito flakes and kewpie mayonnaise! How can you say no to that?!

Aboy's Fresh Lumpia

My all-time favorite for a veggie fix is the Aboy's Fresh Lumpia. This healthy snack is freshly-prepared upon order. It's an affordable spin-off of the famous Chinese spring roll.

The fresh lumpia in regular wheat wrapper is priced at 60 Pesos per piece while the fresh lumpia in egg wrapper is priced at 65 Pesos per piece. The filling is made of stir-fried carrots, cabbage and julienned jicama (singkamas), wrapped together with minced garlic, seaweed, mung bean and ground nuts.

NoodleMix

Another comfort food is NoodleMix. Cooked right in front of you when you order, this fried noodles topped with your choice of 2 pieces dimsum (beef, pork, or sharkfin) and savory sauces.

The Wings Haven

A new discovery for me is The Wings Haven. Aside from a variety of flavors to choose from, they also offer rice meal sets and packages for the barkada and the family to enjoy.

A must order is their Haven Nachos smothered with fresh salsa and melted cheese. The nachos is included if you order the package.

Another side dish that's perfect paired with their chicken wings is the flavored fries.

Master Siomai

Every siomai lover definitely knows Master Siomai. It's just a matter of how many pieces can you eat in one sitting. I actually order this as an additional "ulam" or as an excuse to have extra rice :) Whether you order the pork & shrimp siomai, beef siomai, shark's fin siomai, or my favorite Japanese siomai, all of them go well with the chili garlic.

Mr. Kimbob

Filipinos embraced not just the K-Pop music and K-Dramas but also Korean food. Mr. Kimbob's bibimbob has been a favorite specially for us Pinoys who love spicy food and rice!

Other must-try in their menu are the Korean BBQ (samgyupsal),  japchae, spicy Korean rice cake, kimbob, dumplings, and ramen.

Sisig Hooray!

A very Pinoy dish is sisig and Sisig Hooray! is always the first choice when you eat at SM Food Court. I'm so glad they are back at SM City Masinag. Sisig Hooray! choices are pork, chicken, bacon, bangus, and tuna.  Sizes are kasilog and barkada.

Fruitas

For a refreshing drink, Fruitas Fresh Juice offers different flavors of ready to drink fruit juices. For buko juice lovers, they have a pure buko juice and flavored buko juice and comes in 500ml and 1 liter size.
