A Celebration of Health and Empowerment: LRMC Caps off Women’s Month with “HER Story” Campaign


Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) wrapped up its “HER Story: Celebrating Health and Well-being, Empowerment, and Resilience of Women at LRT-1” campaign in a remarkable culmination to National Women’s Month this March. This initiative, aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being, showcased LRMC’s dedication to empowering female passengers and fostering a healthier community environment.

Empowering Women Through Health Initiatives

LRMC’s commitment to recognizing the pivotal role of women in society was evident in its “HER Story” campaign. By providing access to essential health resources and support, LRMC aimed to empower female passengers to prioritize their health and overall well-being. Jacqueline S. Gorospe, LRMC's Head of Corporate Communications and Customer Relations, emphasized the significance of this initiative in empowering women and expressed gratitude to the healthcare partners for their collaboration.

Accessible Health Screenings

The campaign’s highlight was a two-day activation held at LRT-1 Central and United Nations stations, where LRMC partnered with leading health providers to offer free health screenings. Female passengers were provided with various health checks, including blood sugar screening, blood pressure checks, blood glucose tests, and body temperature monitoring. These screenings were essential in promoting early detection and prevention of health issues among women.

Support from Healthcare Partners

LRMC’s partnership with esteemed healthcare providers such as mWell, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, De Los Santos Medical Center, and ManilaMed played a crucial role in the success of the campaign. Apart from conducting health screenings, the partner health providers also offered additional giveaways to participating passengers, enhancing the overall experience. mWell, in particular, delighted passengers with a raffle featuring smartwatches as prizes, adding excitement to the event.
