The High Speed Hitters just leveled up their roster with the return of Russian powerhouse Lena Samoilenko and the addition of rising star Angge Alcantara. Can this dynamic duo be the missing piece to finally clinch that elusive championship?
Lena Samoilenko: Back with a Vengeance
Remember Lena Samoilenko? The Russian spiking sensation who absolutely dominated the PVL a few years back? Well, she's back, and she's taller, stronger, and even more determined.
Standing at a towering 6'4", Samoilenko is a force to be reckoned with. She's already racking up insane stats and leading the league in scoring. But it's not just about the numbers for her. She's here to win a championship for PLDT.
“I missed the team, and I’m hungry for a title,” Samoilenko said. “I want to bring that championship feeling from Kazakhstan to the Philippines.”
With her killer serve, explosive spikes, and relentless energy, Samoilenko is a nightmare for any opposing team.
Angge Alcantara: The Rising Star
Meet Angge Alcantara, the young gun who's ready to make waves in the PVL. She's got big shoes to fill, stepping in for veteran playmaker Rhea Dimaculangan, but she's not afraid of the challenge.
“I’m living a dream right now,” Alcantara gushed. “Playing with my idols is surreal. I’m learning so much from Ate Rhea and Ate Kim Fajardo.”
Alcantara's got the talent and the drive to succeed. With her quick wit and impressive court vision, she's already proving to be a valuable asset to the team.
Can PLDT Finally Break Through?
With Samoilenko and Alcantara joining forces with PLDT's core of Mika Reyes and Jovielyn Prado, the High Speed Hitters are looking more formidable than ever. They've finished in the top five for three straight seasons, but now it's time to take the next step.
Can this dynamic duo lead PLDT to their first-ever PVL championship? We can't wait to find out!
