Wednesday, May 20, 2026

The purple wave is officially returning to the East side of Metro Manila.

Filipino BTS fans are gearing up for another massive fandom celebration as BorahaEast 2.0 takes over select SM Supermalls locations from June 13 to July 9. Following the success of last year’s event, this year’s edition promises a bigger lineup of activities, immersive fan experiences, and more opportunities for ARMYs to celebrate their love for BTS together.

Timed alongside the excitement surrounding BTS’ latest album Arirang and the group’s ongoing sold-out world tour, BorahaEast 2.0 transforms seven SM malls in the East into vibrant purple destinations dedicated to music, creativity, friendship, and fandom culture.

For many Filipino ARMYs, it is more than just a fan gathering. It is a full-scale community celebration.

What ARMYs Can Expect at BorahaEast 2.0

BorahaEast 2.0 features a packed lineup of activities designed for both longtime ARMYs and newer fans discovering BTS for the first time.

Purple Illuminations Across Participating SM Malls

One of the highlights of the event is the much-anticipated purple illumination displays, where participating malls will glow in BTS-inspired purple lights throughout the campaign period.

For fans, these installations create the perfect backdrop for photos, meetups, and social media-worthy moments during Festa season.

Cup Sleeve Events and ARMY Fan Gatherings

Cup sleeve events remain one of the most beloved fan traditions in K-pop fandom culture, and BorahaEast 2.0 is bringing them back on a bigger scale.

Fans can join themed café gatherings, exchange freebies, discuss their favorite BTS moments, and meet fellow ARMYs from different communities. From bias debates to concert stories and fan project sharing, these gatherings help strengthen the sense of connection within the fandom.

BTS Pop-Up Markets and Fan-Made Merchandise

Collectors and merch enthusiasts can also browse pop-up markets featuring BTS-inspired items, official merchandise, fan-made crafts, accessories, stickers, apparel, and collectibles.

For many ARMYs, these markets are more than shopping spaces. They also support local fan artists and small businesses within the fandom community.

Random Play Dance and Neon Purple Run Add More Excitement

Beyond fan meetups and shopping, BorahaEast 2.0 also includes interactive activities for ARMYs who love movement and performance.

Random Play Dance Sessions

Fans can dance to BTS hits alongside fellow ARMYs through Random Play Dance sessions happening at participating malls.

These crowd-favorite activities have become a staple in K-pop events, bringing together fans through choreography challenges, energetic fan chants, and shared excitement.

Neon Purple Run Finale in July

The celebration will culminate with the Neon Purple Run this July, combining fitness, fandom, and community spirit in one large-scale event.

Participants are encouraged to wear purple-themed outfits and run alongside fellow BTS fans in a vibrant nighttime atmosphere filled with music, lights, and ARMY energy.

BTS Fan Events Continue to Thrive in the Philippines

The Philippines remains one of BTS’ strongest fanbases globally, with ARMY communities consistently organizing large-scale events, charity drives, streaming parties, and fandom celebrations throughout the year.

Events like BorahaEast 2.0 highlight how K-pop fandoms have evolved into strong social communities that extend beyond music. For many fans, these gatherings provide spaces for creativity, friendship, emotional connection, and shared experiences.

As BTS continues to influence global pop culture, Filipino ARMYs continue finding new ways to celebrate the group’s music and message together.

And for fans in the East side of Metro Manila, BorahaEast 2.0 is shaping up to become one of the biggest purple celebrations of the season.
