Red Bull Dance Your Style electrified Manila once again as the much-anticipated Manila Qualifier lit up XYLO at The Palace last April 25, showcasing an unforgettable night of freestyle dance battles. Top dancers from Metro Manila and nearby cities faced off in intense one-on-one showdowns, all vying for a coveted spot in the upcoming Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals in Cebu.
Adding even more excitement, the event coincided with the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour’s Philippine stop — a true celebration of creativity, self-expression, and freestyle excellence.
Manila’s Top Dancers Battle for Supremacy
The Manila Qualifier delivered non-stop energy as the region’s best freestyle talents showed off their creativity, improvisation, and battle skills — all set to unpredictable beats. In true Red Bull Dance Your Style tradition, it was the crowd who decided the winners, making every round even more thrilling.
After an intense series of matchups, it was Jigoro who emerged victorious. Reflecting on the win, Jigoro shared, “I’m so happy and it’s all worth it. Being a full-time dancer, this is a huge achievement for me.”
He also highlighted the immense support from his community and fellow dancers as one of the most memorable parts of his journey. “Despite the fierce competition on stage, the love from my fellow competitors made this experience truly unforgettable”, said Jigoro.
Road to the National Finals – and Beyond
Jigoro’s win secured his spot at the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals in Cebu, bringing him one step closer to representing the Philippines at the World Final in Los Angeles, USA on October 11. Joining Jigoro are EBOY, runner-up of the Manila Qualifier, and SUJI and SPADECKX from the Davao Qualifier.
With Cebu’s regional qualifier on the horizon, the stage is set for even more electrifying performances.
Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour: A Celebration of Global Talent
The Manila Qualifier wasn't just about the battles — it was a global celebration of street dance. MT Pop, the 2024 Red Bull Dance Your Style World Champion from Vietnam, made his highly anticipated visit to Manila, alongside THE D Soraki (2022 World Champion from Japan) and Yoon Ji (2024 Korea National Finalist and Waacking sensation).
"It’s been a long time coming," said MT Pop. "I’ve always wanted to visit the Philippines. The warmth and love from everyone here have been amazing."
He emphasized the importance of building connections within Southeast Asia’s vibrant dance community. "When we love it, we do it. Dream it. Wish it. And do it," MT Pop encouraged aspiring dancers.
The global stars didn’t just watch — they immersed themselves in the battles, hyping up the crowd and dancers alike. MT Pop described the Manila event as “the perfect night — great vibes, good music, and pure fire on the dance floor.”
Cebu, Get Ready for the Next Battle!
The journey doesn't stop here. Red Bull Dance Your Style is heading to Cebu next, where more elite dancers will showcase their moves for a shot at dance glory. The Cebu Qualifier promises another epic night leading up to the National Finals on May 24.
