E-bikes community are growing in popularity and with its growth, several factors needs to be addressed.

Responsibilities in owning an E-bike

Land Transportation Office (LTO) has pointed out the alarming rate of vehicular accidents and theft. LTO toiled on a regulation that strengthens the previous Memorandum Circular No. 721-2006 that pertains to regulations in owning & driving an E-bike and stipulated a more safety and enhanced security feature on Light Electric Vehicles.

The new guidelines will help regulate accidents and other concerns such as theft, which happens to be a persistent problem that needs to be solved. Hence, to ensure the security, LTO encourages the public and the e-bike community to register to register their units.

California Electric Bike provides E-Bikes owners a guide to LTO’s updated rule on Light Electric Vehicle.
