Do you watch Korean drama tv series? I can't help but crave for Korean food whenever I binge watch on Netflix. They always have a scene where they either eat ramen or Korean BBQ. Good thing, there is a Samgyeopmasarap in SM City Marikina offering unlimited Korean BBQ.
Samgyeopmasarap opened in SM City Marikina last quarter of 2018. Since I am not really fond of cooking my own food, the idea of a Korean BBQ never appealed to me. But how can I resist? Every time these Korean actors eat samgyeopsal in one of the scenes, I want to run to the nearest restaurant.
I'm the lazy one in our group. Lucky me, I've got friends who find grilling food an enjoyable experience. If you haven't been to a Korean BBQ restaurant, be ready to cook your own meal (or tag along someone willing to cook for you).
Samgyeopmasarap three kinds of unlimited BBQ
- Pork BBQ (PhP399) : Pork belly, marinated pork belly, rice, and 6 kinds of side dishes
- Beef BBQ (PhP499) : Beef bacon slice, marinated beef slice, rice, and 6 kinds of side dishes
- Chicken BBQ (PhP349) : Boneless chicken, rice, and 6 kinds of side dishes
The side dishes are also refillable. I'm no expert with the Korean name of the side dishes. There's kimchi, potato, strips of sayote and carrots, anchovies, spiced radish.
A la Carte Menu
Samgyeopmasarap also offers a la carte menu.
Bulgogi PhP300 |
Japchae PhP300 |
Pajeon PhP200 |
Bibimbap PhP250 |
Other a la carte dishes are Beef rib stew (PhP300), Egg roll (PhP150), and Egg jjim (PhP150). Complete the Korean experience by pairing your food with a bottle of Soju that sell for PhP250.
The price in the menu is still subject to 12% VAT. There is also a leftover penalty of PhP200. If you are dining with kids, children below 9 years old pays half the price for the unlimited BBQ.
