Cheer up! It's a Smiley World Christmas at SM City Masinag

11/8/20

2020 has surprised us with a pandemic. Aside from the impact in the economy, the quarantine protocols has changed the way we live. While most of us have already adjusted to the new ways of doing things, Filipinos' love for celebrating the holidays will never be the same for a while.  Our masks may hide a certain sadness but our eyes will always reveal what we feel.

To bring cheer to mallgoers, SM City Masinag brings you a Smiley World Christmas. This year's centerpiece is a 20-ft Christmas tree adorned with hundreds of smileys to spread happiness and positivity. Smileys of different sizes are also displayed for shoppers to have their photos taken.

During the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony held last November 7, a dance mob clad in Smiley and Christmas inspired outfit performed at the mall. The event was also graced by Rizal Vice Governor Reynaldo San Juan Jr., Board Member Randy Puno and Antipolo City Councilors.

SM City Masinag Assistant Mall Managers Raymond Bonifacio and Matthew de Guzman were also present.

The Bears of Joy, an annual charity program of SM Supermalls is also back to keep with the SM Christmas tradition. Shoppers can purchase a pair of bears for P200 at SM malls – one for them to keep and the other to be donated to charity.

This year’s Bears of Joy is inspired by the selfless dedication, remarkable sacrifice, courage, and commitment of Filipino front liners. The four specially designed plushies are Kit the Doctor, Heart the Nurse, Ace the Soldier, and Max the Police.

Selfie with Santa is a bit different too! To comply with safety guidelines, SM Supermalls created an augmented reality Santa which you can access via LetsPlayNowAtSM mobile app.  To know how you can take a selfie with Santa and Friends, click HERE.
