Christmas Comes Early — Filipino Style

If there’s one thing we Filipinos do best, it’s celebrating Christmas early — as in September pa lang, may parol na! 🎄 This year, I found myself stepping into that familiar warmth at Power Plant Mall through Pasko at Nayon Natin, a vibrant pop-up that instantly felt like a festive Filipino village brought to life.

Curated by ANTHILL Fabric Gallery, this special bayanihan marketplace is more than just a shopping destination, it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, collaboration, and community. I dropped by recently, and honestly, it reminded me of how our Pasko spirit isn’t just about decorations and gifts but it’s about connection, stories, and pride in local artistry.

First Impressions: A Village of Color and Craft

The moment you walk into the pop-up store, you’re greeted by a burst of color and texture. Think handwoven fabrics, wooden accents, and festive décor that instantly transports you to a modern-day barrio fiesta.

Each corner feels like a little home alive with laughter, music, and stories from local artisans. The setup truly captures ANTHILL’s vision of a “living storybook,” where every product tells the tale of Filipino creativity and resilience. The holiday theme makes it even more magical with the vibrant displays, and the joyful hum of people exploring local finds.

Features & Benefits: Heritage Meets Modern Filipino Lifestyle

Pasko at Nayon Natin brings together proudly Filipino brands that blend traditional craft with modern style. Among the highlights are:

ANTHILL Fabric Gallery – Showcasing sustainable, woven textiles turned into contemporary fashion and home décor pieces.

Andanté Footwear – Known for handcrafted leather shoes from Marikina, now collaborating with ANTHILL to create limited-edition pairs using Cebuano fabrics — the true meaning of bayanihan in fashion!

Tropik Beatnik – Bold, handmade jewelry that captures the joyful chaos of a Filipino fiesta.

Studio Sursidan – Eclectic home décor and textile goods that make your space feel soulful and rooted in local culture.

Every item here isn’t just pretty but also purposeful. Each purchase supports Filipino communities and keeps our local weaving traditions alive.

My Experience & Thoughts

What I loved most about this pop-up is how it feels personal. You’re not just shopping, you’re connecting with makers, learning about their stories, and realizing how every piece has a human touch.

The Andanté x ANTHILL shoes caught my eye immediately the woven accents are subtle yet stunning, and they carry so much meaning knowing that two communities (Marikina and Cebu) worked hand in hand to make them.

If I had to share a tip: come with time to explore. There’s so much to see and appreciate, from jewelry to textiles, and it’s easy to lose track of time (in the best way!).

Value for Money: Supporting Local with Heart

Prices vary depending on the brand, but most pieces are reasonably priced considering they’re handcrafted and sustainably made. For me, that’s real value. You’re paying for quality, artistry, and the livelihood of local artisans.

You can visit Pasko at Nayon Natin: ANTHILL Bayanihan Pop-Up until October 31, 2025, at the R2 Level, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati.

It’s the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping  and feel good about every gift you buy.

If you’re the kind of shopper who loves meaningful finds and proudly supports Filipino craftsmanship, Pasko at Nayon Natin is your kind of Christmas wonderland.

It’s festive, heartwarming, and full of creative energy — proof that bayanihan is still alive in our modern, mall-loving world. Bring your friends, shop local, and celebrate the season the Filipino way: with community, color, and love.
