Holy Cow! The Return

Monday, May 07, 2012

After our first visit to Holy Cow last April, we know right away we will be coming back soon. And we will be having a hard time again choosing what to eat.

I did not have soup this time. I wanted to try one of their appetizers. How I wish I have enough "space" to try all the appetizers!

Baked scallops with cheese and mushroom on a bed of salt

Tender Off the Bone Baby Back Ribs
Tender pork ribs, seasoned and char – boiled to perfection,
glazed with hickory barbeque sauce. You might fall of your seat!

 Motherload Beef Burger
Tempting, delicious half- pounder beef patty stuffed
with chunks of cheddar cheese,
bacon and mushroom perfect with lettuce,
tomatoes, onion and dressing.
The greatest beef burger in the town!
Happy Belly! :D

Tamagoya! Noodle House

Sunday, May 06, 2012

There is a Japanese restaurant near my parents' house. We pass by it a lot and notice the cars parked outside. I googled about it and read numerous good reviews. When I saw Anton Diaz blog and read he traveled all the way to Antipolo to try Tamagoya, I know I must try it too. I trust Anton's unbiased food reviews.

We arrived past 7 and as expected, we need to wait for a table. We were parked on the other side of the road. A Tamagoya staff approached us and told us he will call us as soon as there is a table available. We stayed in the car because we were listening to the TalknText and B-meg game 7. After 10 minutes, we were fetched by the staff. I commend them. Very efficient!

The restaurant's ground floor can accommodate around 20 people. I was not able to see the upper floor.

The food is cooked upon order. You have to wait for 15-20 minutes. The prices are very affordable too!

Yaki Gyoza for appetizer. 6 large pieces for only P98. DELICIOUS!!!

Yakiniku Don. Very tasty. The meat is tender and the veggies crunchy.

I like Tamagoya's Yakiniku don. Not nakakasawa. Just the right amount of sweetness.

Gyu-don for my hubby.  My camera phone did not give justice to the picture. I tasted this and I loved it more than my Yakiniku.

Next time, we would like to try their ramen.

We left 30 minutes before closing. There are still cars arriving.

If you don't want to wait, it's advisable to call and make reservation. They also accept takeout. And no matter how happy you are with their food and service, they do not accept tips. :D
