The Barbie dolls were transformed into blushing brides by Rizal's talented homegrown fashion designers for the Barbie in the East Wedding Edition exhibit at SM City Taytay. This year, the iconic dolls wore the most elegant wedding gowns every girl could dream of. The 13 municipalities and 1 city of the province of Rizal are represented during the exhibit.
The 3rd place winner wore a gown created by Patty Valle from Taytay, Rizal
Cardona, Rizal bagged the 2nd prize. The Barbie wears an intricately designed gown by Charity Clarito.
The grand prize was awarded to Penaflorida Atelier of San Mateo, Rizal. The Barbie wears an elegant, swarovski-crusted gown skirt. Barbie's hair is real human hair!
Fashion industry experts who judged the wedding gown creations were celebrity designer Lloyd Arceo, fashion designer Vince Sityar, and Francis Libiran's deputy general manager Victor Harry Hartmann.
Each Barbie dolls were photographed with the iconic church of the municipality / city they represent as background. This exhibit is also in celebration of Rizal's 118th founding anniversary.
