Kids are the happiest during Christmas season. No wonder they are delighted to witness the Christmas tree lighting to officially welcome the holidays. Hundred of kids gathered at SM City San Mateo in a glittery, dazzling fashion for the lighting of the mall's 12-foot Christmas display reminiscent of the Star of Bethlehem.
Rizal Provincial Board Members Atty. Emigdio Tanjuatco III and Rommel Ayuson – together with San Mateo Municipal Councilors Roberto San Pedro, Roger San Miguel, Cris Cruz and Norbie Rivera – led the ceremonial countdown for the lighting of the mall’s grand centerpiece which featured giant Christmas trees, golden gift boxes and a shining 12-foot Christmas star that make a Dazzling Holiday Wonderland.
Making an appearance, Santa Claus also joined the mall’s grand Christmas kick-off by giving out sweet treats to kids in attendance.
Hyping up the fun, a series of activities are also in line for shoppers to enjoy the season. Art enthusiasts will have a blast in SM City San Mateo’s Arts and Crafts Workshop happening on November 10, 17, 23 and December 1 and 15. Festive spirits will also fill the air as SM City San Mateo invited Christmas carolers to serenaded shoppers on December 4, 11, 18 and 25.
