10,000 meals pledged to nourish communities in need
Filinvest Group marked its 70th anniversary with a powerful act of giving back. During its partners’ event on September 17, the company pledged 10,000 meals to the Loaves X Fish Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to fighting hunger and feeding hope across the country.
For every guest in attendance, Filinvest committed 70 meals, symbolizing seven decades of growth anchored in compassion and service. The initiative reflects the Group’s long-standing belief that true success is measured not only in milestones achieved but in lives uplifted.
Feeding hope, one meal at a time
Since its founding in February 2024, the Loaves X Fish Foundation, Inc. has served over 325,000 meals to the poor, abandoned, and marginalized through its charity kitchen. Backed by 1,700 volunteers and partnerships with 30 parishes and NGOs, the organization continues to expand its reach to communities that need it most.
Filinvest employees have been part of this mission since the beginning—joining other volunteers to help prepare meals in the kitchen. Their active involvement embodies the Group’s culture of service and unity in purpose.
A legacy of giving and growth
“Filinvest’s 70th year is not only a celebration of our journey but also an opportune time to remind ourselves of our social responsibility. Supporting Loaves X Fish allows us to honor our partners while extending care to communities that need it most,” said Ysmael V. Baysa, Chief Operating Officer of Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC).
What began as a humble shophouse in Quiapo in 1955 has evolved into one of the Philippines’ most diversified conglomerates—with ventures in real estate, banking, power, hospitality, and sugar. Yet through all its growth, Filinvest has remained true to its purpose: to uplift lives and create opportunities for every Filipino.
Through its partnership with Loaves X Fish, Filinvest reaffirms that while its reach has expanded, its heart remains firmly rooted in service and compassion.
