I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen

We travel because we like to move from place to place, we enjoy the sense of freedom it gives us, it pleases us to be rid of ties, responsibilities, duties, we like the unknown; we meet odd people who amuse us for a moment and sometimes annoy us and suggest a theme for a composition; we are sometimes tired of ourselves and we have a notion that by travel we can add to our personalities and so change ourselves a little. We do not bring back from the journey quite the same self that we took.
They say that no matter how long you've known a person, you'll be surprised that there are lots of things you don't know about him until you live together. But traveling with someone is also a great way to discover whether you like or hate a person. One thing for sure, I love seeking new thrills with my husband. It makes everything extraordinary whenever I am with him. It's more fun.
In every place we go, there should be a daring adventure. The memory of a thrilling experience will always bring a smile in our face. Looking through the photographs, the moments of delight somehow make us ask ourselves, "we did that? that was crazy! crazy but wonderful!"
But most of my treasured memories of travel are not captured by the lens. These are recollections of precious moments spent sitting beside my husband, talking about anything under the sun or the moon, laughing our hearts out over some silly things only we could understand, sharing knowing glances, exchanging naughty smiles.

It is a beautiful thing to travel, and yet we always look forward to coming home and rest our heads on our old familiar pillow.
