I have always been fascinated with photography. In high school, the only organization I joined was the Photography Club. I only had the entry-level point and shoot camera. It was expensive back then. I had to buy film and have the photos developed. When camera phones became a thing, I became very interested and bought my very first Samsung phone --- the Samsung i900 Omnia. The camera was not yet fancy and not much editing softwares were available. Fast forward to more than a decade, I have purchased different models of Samsung. The cameras are getting better. 

If you wish to explore mobile photography, Samsung Galaxy A23 5G is a budget-friendly mid-range phone. The rear quad cameras are 50.0 MP main + 5.0 MP ultrawide + 2.0 MP macro + 2.0 MP depth. 

I took the above photo using just the standard setting of the main camera and the output is not bad at all. Although I have noticed that there's almost a second delay when I click the shutter button before the shot is actually taken. It makes me conscious to keep still to avoid having a blurred image.

I love still photography and my favorite subject is food. Samsung Galaxy A23 5G is impressive when used on well-lit areas. There's no need for editing and the color profile is manageable. 

This photo was taken on a moderately lit room with natural light from the glass window but on a cloudy day.  The image is almost true to its color but the camera performance on low-light is noticeable. It's still nice for instagram feed though. 

This photo was taken under warm lights. It's always a struggle even for mirrorless camera to shoot in warm lights. I had to adjust this photo using the phone's editing function. 

The ultrawide camera is perfect for taking landscape photos and group shots. Night mode is not available though so the output is not very impressive when used when the sun is down. 

Who doesn't love taking selfies?! The front camera is definitely the most used. Samsung Galaxy A23 5G has an 8MP and takes decent selfie photos. I am satisfied with this selfie taken at night time with warm lights. 

The secret to taking great photos using smartphone doesn't rely solely on the camera. One way to improve your mobile photography skills is by taking lots and lots of photos. And while smartphones allow us to conveniently take a snap while on the go, it helps to really know the capabilities and the limitations of your camera first. 

If you wish to level up the photos you upload on your social media feed or if you are interested in mobile photography, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G is recommendable for a mid-range smartphone.

This 2022, Samsung continues its partnership to highlight the epic features of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

During the launch of the Galaxy S22 Series, MFP shared pro tips on how to best maximize the Galaxy S22 Ultra in filmmaking highlighting its Nightography features. MFP then released an in-depth video review of the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s Pro-Grade camera with a series of shoots in Intramuros and Binondo.
