A Father's Search For His Korean-American Twins Born 1967

Sunday, May 3

"My name is Allen Thomas and I am looking for my son and daughter, whom I've not seen since they were lost to me over 40 years ago. I was an American soldier in South Korea, met and married their mother, had our twins, and then lost them when I had to return stateside and she would not return with me, or allow me to take the children. By the time I was able to make arrangements to go back for the children and fight for custody, she had adopted them out and would not give me any information regarding their whereabouts. I have been searching for decades, unsuccessfully, but have decided that perhaps Facebook could help me to find them. Please pass this around and help me find my children. Thank you."

The FACE Shop

I'm not very adventurous with nail color. I want the color to be as natural as possible. I only buy these two shades from The FACE Shop. I've been dreaming of one day painting my nails red. But that would probably come after I have gathered enough courage to color my lips red.

Wrinkle Stop

Wednesday, November 2

I just turned 35 last September and suddenly I have become concerned with my skin. I started visiting my new dermatologist on a regular basis to address some skin problems. I have a very oily skin. I thought if I wash my face as often as I can, it will be good for my skin. Oh, I know it's not right. But I love the feeling of a newly washed face. Lately, I noticed that my skin is now oily and at the same time dry.

My dermatologist advised me to stop my toner. Continue with the Cetaphil Soap and moisturizer and limit washing my face to only twice a day. I was using the Quick and Clean line from The Face Shop. When I visited the store recently, a new product was introduced to me. The Wrinkle Stop  Abyssine line.

I only bought the Wrinkle Stop Abyssine Emulsion. According to the label, Abyssine is a survival molecule harvested from microorganisms that inhabits in hydrothermal vents (huh.. scary?!) in the deep sea of the Galapagos Islands 3,000 meters deep from the water's surface. I really do not know how these molecules will help my skin.  But I've read from the website that the Wrinkle Stop Abyssine Emulsion is suggested for the revitalization and nourishment of the skin. It is an emulsion that helps in the prevention of wrinkles, gives moisture and gets rid of dead skin cells. I was hoping that they have a smaller size but it only comes in a 130ml bottle. I have been using this for a month now and so far, I am happy with the result. The emulsion also does not feel heavy on the skin. I tried the Arsainte Eco-Therapy Vitalist Serum, after a while my face feels so sticky. Good thing I just got it as a freebie.

I also got myself the Herb Day Lip and Eye Makeup Remover. I use this to remove my waterproof mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. Although this does not remove all traces of  eye makeup, I still need to clean my eyes with Maybelline Make Up Remover Eye & Lip, then clean my face with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and lastly, wash my face with Dove White Beauty Bar. Somehow my problem with bringing the moisture back has already been addressed. I'll be visiting my dermatologist again two weeks from now for my facial. Next problem to address, the pores!

Another item I bought is Face it Designing Cake Eyebrow. I've been wanting to learn how to fix my not so defined brows. I'm not sure if this product is good. I am still not getting the effect I want. But for now, I think it's more of my lack of skill to fix my eyebrows.

The FACE Shop Freebies

Sunday, October 16

Whenever I go to the mall and if there is a FACE Shop store, I am so fond of this Korean brand and  must visit the store and buy something. I was at the Shangri-la Plaza mall last Wednesday and I really needed to drop by The FACE Shop to buy a new nail polish. I ended buying other stuff that I think I want need. I love most of their skincare products but what I love most are the freebies. Yes, I love freebies. And every time I visit The FACE Shop store, they give me samples of their products.

I was given samples of the Arsainte Eco-Therapy Vitalist Serum and the Phytogenic Infinite Foundation SPF20. I visited the website to learn more about these products.

The Arsainte Eco-Therapy Vitalist Serum is a serum that contains the "Vital Tea Complex". The effect is to keep the moisture of the skin and give it a healthy energy. This product works well for those who have normal skin and is ideally applied after using the Arsainte Eco-Therapy Extreme Moisture Tonic.

After applying the serum, I put on the Phytogenic Infinite Foundation. I like how it glided on my skin. It also doesn't feel heavy. I just had my facial and some pricking the day before. The foundation alone did not conceal some red spots. I'm not fond though of using concealer. I just finished this off with a mineral powder.

The FACE Shop

Saturday, September 10

I was not aware of The Face Shop brand until 2008 when a friend introduced me to the brand. The Face Shop is a Korean cosmetic brand founded in 1962 as a wholesale manufacturer. The brand went into retail in 2003 and launched its first retail store in Myungdong.

I have been on a lookout for cosmetic products that is skin-friendly considering the fact that I have a very sensitive skin. I have read on The Face Shop's website that their product has combined the benefits of both nature and science. I have also read positive reviews from other girls with sensitive skins who are using The Face Shop and are very satisfied with how their skins react with the products.

I've been using this product since then and my favorite is the Quick and Clean line. The serum control toner and the mild emulsion work well with my skin. I make sure I always have a stock of the toner because most of the time the stores in my country run out of stock and I'll have to wait for the shipment to arrive from Korea.

During my recent visit to their store, I bought a nail polish and I fell in love with it. I love the color and how the polish glides on my nail. I'm way too conservative with nail colors and this color matched my preference.

The blemish balm cream or more commonly known as BB Cream is the latest craze among Asian women. I am currently using a different brand which I am kinda satisfied but I'm still on a hunt for something better so I will definitely try The Face Shop's BB Cream soon.
