Funny, exuberant, and down to earth, her effortless humor has gained her 350K subscribers and followers who love her videos on fashion, lifestyle and her own shopping adventures in her YouTube channel. She also stars in her own 4-part TV special, It’s a Small World on Metro Channel.

Her latest shopping adventure takes her to SM, as host of Shop All You Can with Small Laude, where she highlights SM’s Call to Deliver service from October 15 to November 15, 2021 at The SM Store's Facebook page facebook.com/thesmstore

As someone who has traveled and lived abroad extensively, Small admits “I didn’t shop a lot in Manila before.” She was therefore amazed when she started shopping at SM and discovered the store’s extensive offerings.

“SM has everything,” she enthuses. “Even some of the items I have from abroad, SM has them! So many nice things. I enjoy shopping at SM now, the experience is exciting!”

She has been especially delighted with SM’s Call to Deliver service, which she calls “a great and modern experience.”

Small describes the Call to Deliver service as “quite easy and convenient! The personal shoppers are competent and very accommodating. They will find and source all your needs.”

She was impressed with the service “because of the vast merchandise that’s available to choose from. Being able to get everything in one place and the convenience of having the personal shopper complete all you need and deliver it right to your door was fun and exhilarating!”

Her personal picks from her Call to Deliver shopping adventure? “Of course my Kitchen Aid!” she quickly answers. “I never knew The SM Store has it. I love the clothes and shoes, and perfumes that I selected. The scent collection of SM can compare those of other stores abroad! Too many to mention, really.”

Small’s shopping tips for the new normal” “Everything SM because they’ve got it all for you!”

Global Study Reveals Filipinos Ready To Seek More Meaningful Purchases

Wednesday, August 15

93% of Filipinos who answered the survey believe that it is their responsibility to change the world. Do you share the same belief?

Staying competitive in today's faster, more globalized, and more collaborative markets requires a keen understanding of the forces that drive ideas, products, and services from the unknown to the mainstream. Among these forces are the prosumers, they are consumers who are first to try what’s new and are relied upon by their circles for recommendations and opinions. They are known to be influential in what the mainstream will patronize within 18 to 24 months. These individuals have been the subject of more than a decade of study by multinational communications firm Havas Group. Its latest report includes the Philippines and reveals Filipinos’ changing attitudes and behaviors when it comes to choosing organizations, companies and products to support.

According to Emerging Shifts in Filipino Consumption Mindsets (local highlights from the global research The MEaningful Shift) shared by Havas Ortega Group, 93% of Filipino prosumers today believe in their responsibility and 86% in their capacity to make a difference in the world; 49% believe in the strength of their purchasing power more than their voting power; and 60% will choose a product depending on a company’s values or political and social activities.

Phil Tiongson, Havas Ortega’s Head of Data & Analytics

“These numbers indicate that Filipino Prosumers have truly realized the power they have in influencing not just the marketplace but society as a whole. The mere act of choosing at the grocery, at the supermarket, in a boutique, or in the mall are more than just shopping and buying for Filipino Prosumers. The choice in itself carries ripples of effect to the rest of the society. For them, the power to choose is more than just about which brand or product to bring home; the choice also reflects how they are answering the call to be socially-responsible individuals," says Phil Tiongson, Havas Ortega’s Head of Data & Analytics.

While respondents know that consumer spending helps the economy and enhances their own happiness, they also feel guilty and worry over the impact of their consumption on society and the planet. As a result, Filipino prosumers are redefining what makes a good purchase and are moving towards more mindful and meaningful buying habits. Some of the key figures show that 73% (higher than the global average of 61%) are becoming more selective and ask themselves if they really need it before buying it; 88% (versus 71% global average) would be willing to pay more if it will contribute to a good cause; and 95% (versus 86% global average) think about the impact of their shopping on the planet’s resources.

As the Filipino consumption mindset starts to shift in this direction, organizations and brands face the challenge of developing products and services that appeal to these consumers’ emerging needs and considerations.

Jos Ortega, Havas Ortega Chairman and CEO

Havas Ortega Chairman and CEO, Jos Ortega, concludes: "Businesses have to adapt by taking the consumers’ guilt out of the equation and helping them express a ‘me’ they feel good about whenever they buy. By responding to the evolving priorities and aspirations of Filipino consumers today - their need to grow into and present their best selves, to make a positive contribution in the world, to support community and country, to be less wasteful and help the planet – businesses will stay relevant and be able to navigate ever-changing markets with ease and effectiveness."

The latest Prosumer Report surveyed 12,168 men and women across different age groups in 32 countries in 2017. The Philippines has been included in the worldwide study since 2016.

Miniso Travel Finds at SM City Marikina

Friday, July 13

Do you love to travel? I do. A lot. But I guess I will never be good at packing light. Whether it's an overnight staycation or a trip somewhere far,  I've got non-negotiable travel essentials that I always bring with me no matter where I go.

I was at the newly-opened Miniso branch in SM City Marikina and I can't help but shop. If you are planning a trip any time soon, here are some of my travel finds at Miniso.

Travel Pillow

Unless you are travelling first class, sleeping comfortably during a trip is a challenge. I usually travel very early in the morning and I make up for lost sleep while in transit. A travel pillow keeps my head in place and also serves as an additional pillow I could cuddle.

Miniso has a section filled with cute and cuddly pillows the only problem you'll have is deciding which one to bring as your travel sleeping companion.

Headset or earphones

I download Netflix series to keep me entertained during long trips. I'm into K-drama recently (a confessed late bloomer) and even though I don't understand what the characters were saying, I want to hear their voices while reading the subtitle.

Noise-cancelling headphones also makes travelling bearable should there be passengers talking loudly or a toddler having tantrums.

Sunglasses

Need to hide those puffy eyes or a shield from the sun's bright rays? You should never leave the house without a pair of sunglasses in your bag. Plus, it's a perfect accessory for your #OOTD.

Travel-size Toiletries

I used to bring all my full size toiletries whenever I travel and they weigh more than a kilo! Good thing Miniso has leak-proof containers for my beauty stuff.

Cosmetic / Storage Bag

Of course, you need a reliable bag (my husband refers to it as "your kikay kit" with a teasing tone) to store all those mini bottles of toiletries. I like the one that I can hang in the bathroom.

Flannel Blanket

Have you ever experienced feeling so cold because the hotel did not provide a good blanket? I always bring my own blanket. It somehow makes me feel secure. A flannel blanket is light weight and the soft texture is really comforting.

Luggage

I've got 6 different sizes of luggage at home. The most used is the smallest since I'm fond of hotel staycations in the city. I was amazed when I saw the MINIGO suitcase. It is lightweight and an affordable version of the one I own.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in you sail. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

So, where do you plan to go? How about travelling to Miniso at SM City Marikina for starters?

PS. I need a hat.

5 Summer Must-Haves: My Shopee Shopping List

Friday, April 13

How do you reward yourself?

While some women love getting pampered in a salon or spa, I set a a budget for online shopping. When I got married, most of the stuff I buy are for the house. I spend less and less for myself. I don't even buy so much for myself during Christmas. But summer is a different story. I love to travel and it is during summer that I get to splurge a little for myself. I just returned from a 3-day vacation in Batis ng Aramin and I'm off with hubby on a Batangas getaway for our wedding anniversary next weekend. If you are also planning a beach getaway, I'll let you take a peek at my Shopee shopping list.

Summer Must-Haves

What's a getaway without an instagram-worthy #OOTD? Be fashionable with this summer floral print clothing set from Pieces Boundless. I love the dark blue because it complements the hue of the sky and the sea. And the hat is perfect to shield me from the scorching summer heat.

You can buy this set for only PhP650 at https://shopee.ph/piecesboundless

I really fancy this round rattan bag. I saw this from my fashionable kumare during my recent trip to Lucban and I so want to buy one but it will take three weeks. If you want one too, here's the good news. This is available right away at https://shopee.ph/elabellaaaaa Perfect with jeans or summer dress.

Don't miss out the fun of partying in a beach. Make sure you have a beach party dress in your luggage. Go for a boho-chic look without spending a fortune. You could buy this piece for PhP186 at https://shopee.ph/popshop.ph

I don't need a cover up with a swimwear that is so gorgeous. I'll just pair this with a distressed denim cutoff shorts on the way to the beach. The lace pattern will also hide some of the fats I'm having a difficult time getting rid off. Check out https://shopee.ph/dressingup.ph

It's a sin to forget to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. The Belo Perfecting Shield is paraben-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested sunscreen for the face. Make sure you also shield other parts of your body with a sunscreen lotion. Buy this at https://shopee.ph/beloessentials
Have you downloaded the Shopee app? If not, I've got a treat for first-time users.

Get PhP80 off on your first purchase. Just use the code BSUKIROSELLE when you check out. This is valid until July 31, 2018. A minimum spend of PhP400 is required.

Happy shopping!!!

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011

Monday, September 5

My husband wants this so bad. He wouldn't settle for any other shoes. We went mall hopping just to find a pair that fits. Nike stores in our country do not carry a complete line of new products and most have limited stocks and sizes. This is one disadvantage of living in the Philippines -- the availability of great merchandise. We often resort to buying online and have stuff delivered to us. Our Ferrari polo shirts were even shipped from Germany. The shipping cost is.. oh forget it.

I will not really understand how wonderful this pair is.  He said it is lightweight and thus create quickness. My husband is already good in playing basketball. I'm sure this shoes will make him even better. I believe in Nike shoes technology because I have a pair of Nike Air Max 90. And the shoes feel different compared to other brands. So they say, Rajon Rondo is comfortable with Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 as he take on his defenders and Russell Westbrook is quicker than anybody else as he get from baseline to baseline... I say, I wanna watch my husband on his upcoming tournament and see how he play in his new pair of shoes.

Lacoste: Celebrating 40 Years at Roland Garros

Sunday, July 3

We were at Lacoste Shangri-La this afternoon and while my husband was paying for our purchases, another customer brought to the counter a Lacoste Roland Garros 2011 Collection.

Lacoste celebrates 40 years at Roland Garros since it has become the first brand to sponsor the French Open. And because we are tennis enthusiasts, we SHOULD have that collection! The saleslady told us that they only have a limited supply of the collection and they do not put them on display. So unless you ask or knows someone from the store or in our case, we got lucky a customer bought the Roland Garros polo shirt...
